Why are you cycling the length of the UK?

The seed was planted in my mind after reading the inspirational book One Man and His Bike, chronicling the adventures of journalist Mike Carter as he cycled around the entire coast of Britain. Here was an ordinary man, without much money or training, who just went for it and was successful in his quest. I have wanted to conquer a big challenge for a while now, and I am grateful to have a great team with me.

My why is twofold: personal and external. Personally, I wish to discover my limits of mental and physical endurance. Externally, I am very keen to promote the importance of conserving this country’s beautiful natural parks, especially given the current climate issues we are faced with.

What do you like to do after a long ride?

Take a nice warm bath and bask in the achievement just completed!
